Privacy by mode

Local mode stays in the browser. BYO keeps knowledge, retrieval, the model, and visitor logs on your backend. Hosted stores approved sources, the derived index, visitor questions, optional conversations, unanswered items, and citations. You are responsible for Hosted content.

Cancel Hosted: writes freeze immediately, JSON export for 30 days, then those Hosted rows are deleted. Moving Hosted to BYO keeps the rows and does not start that clock. Company policy: Answers privacy.
