Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Bootstrapware websites, product dashboards and APIs (including Importer, Feedback, and Chat), and related services (the “Service”). Client npm packages such as @bootstrapware/importer, @bootstrapware/feedback, and @bootstrapware/chat are also licensed under MIT; these terms cover the hosted Service and paid subscriptions. By creating an account or paying for a plan, you agree to them.
The Service
Bootstrapware provides production SaaS components. Importer is a browser-side CSV / TSV / XLSX import widget plus an optional hosted control plane (published field configuration, keys, sessions, and webhooks). File contents, parsed rows, and filenames are not sent to Bootstrapware. You are responsible for the data your users import into your application and for what your backend does with onComplete rows.
Feedback is an embeddable feature-request board. BYO mode stores board configuration only; posts stay on your systems. Hosted mode stores posts and votes. Bootstrapware provides moderation tools; you are responsible for moderation decisions and Hosted content. We do not operate a staff content queue for your boards.
Chat is embeddable private messaging. BYO mode stores app configuration only; conversations, messages, and files stay on your systems. Hosted mode stores plain-text messages and attachment objects. Bootstrapware provides inbox tools; you are responsible for moderation decisions and Hosted content. We do not operate a staff content queue, virus scanning, or a helpdesk product. Optional Chat storage is an add-on to Hosted, not a separate product.
Accounts and keys
You must keep secret keys (bsw_test_sec_ / bsw_live_sec_) off client code. Publishable keys identify a workspace; they are not a substitute for your own authorization. You may not probe, abuse, or overload our APIs, share an account to evade these terms, or use the Service to break the law.
Plans and billing
Local/dev modes and test keys are free forever for each product. Paid plans are product-specific: Importer Production is $19.99 per workspace per month; Feedback and Chat each offer BYO at $9.99 and Hosted at $19.99 (list). Chat Hosted may add Chat storage at $9.99 per month (1 GB included, 10 GB with the add-on). The storage add-on is not a product and is not stack-discounted. Stack discount: second product 25% off that product's list, third and later 35% off list, when applied on invoices. Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel in the customer portal. Access continues through the end of the paid period. Session counts are operational information, not a metered invoice.
If you cancel Feedback Hosted (or lose Hosted entitlement), Hosted writes freeze immediately. You may export Hosted posts and votes from the dashboard for 30 days; after that window we delete Hosted posts and votes. BYO never stored your posts with us.
If you cancel Chat Hosted (or lose Hosted entitlement without remaining on BYO), Hosted writes freeze immediately, including uploads. You may export Hosted conversations and messages from the dashboard for 30 days; after that window we delete Hosted conversations, messages, memberships, and objects. The Chat storage add-on cancels with Hosted. Downgrading Hosted to active BYO keeps stored data and does not start the 30-day clock; Hosted writes stay frozen. BYO never stored your messages or files with us.
Refunds
Email [email protected] within 14 days of your first Production charge for a full refund of that charge. After that, cancel anytime; we do not prorate unused days. If the Service is unavailable for a material stretch because of our failure, we will refund the affected period. Chargebacks without first writing to support may result in account closure.
Availability
The Service is provided as available. We do not sell contractual SLAs, custom DPAs, or SAML. If you need those, you have likely outgrown this product. We will say so.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bootstrapware is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for a claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim. The MIT-licensed client package is provided without warranty as stated in its license.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any forum to stop abuse of the Service.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. Privacy is described separately on the privacy policy. Questions: [email protected].
