Your content stays yours, except Hosted.

Local mode does not send questions to Bootstrapware. BYO keeps knowledge, retrieval, the model, and visitor logs on your backend.

Hosted ($19.99) stores approved sources, the derived index, visitor questions, optional conversations, unanswered items, and citations. Every Hosted source is visitor-readable. Do not upload private runbooks or secrets. You are responsible for Hosted content.

Conversations default to 30 days, and you can turn history off. Unanswered observations still store the normalized question so you can add an answer later.

If you cancel Hosted, writes freeze immediately. You may export Hosted JSON for 30 days. After that window we delete Hosted sources, index, conversations, and unanswered items. Moving Hosted to BYO keeps the rows and does not start that clock.

MCP does not receive visitor questions, file bytes, or provider keys. The visitor session id is in sessionStorage, not a first-party cookie. Company policy: Privacy.
