BYO backend
examples/answers-nextjs is the reference. It reads markdown files, ranks chunks, and returns the same answered or unanswered shape as Hosted. The public route does not read an author token. OPENAI_API_KEY stays on the server. Without it, the route quotes a retrieved sentence.
Citations are ids from the files retrieval returned. A model id that was not retrieved does not become a citation. Live app config still needs BYO ($9.99) or Hosted ($19.99).
