Limits
These are the real product caps. We do not invent fake enterprise ceilings. Client validation is UX; Hosted APIs enforce the same body length and attachment rules on the server.

Hosted files
1 GB included per workspace. Optional $9.99 add-on raises the cap to 10 GB. Uploads freeze at the cap; text still works. See attachments.
Hosted API rate limits
Roughly 30 messages per minute and 10 uploads per minute per author, plus about 120 publishable requests per minute per key. Search is limited to about 20 requests per conversation per minute. Exceeding the window returns a rate-limit error. Treat these as operational safeguards, not a billable meter.
Environments
- Test vs live Hosted messages and files are separate datasets.
- Embed-only: no public chat URL.
- Live publishable config needs BYO ($9.99) or Hosted ($19.99). Live Hosted writes need Hosted ($19.99).
What we do not cap for you
BYO storage size and query performance are yours. Dashboard inbox list endpoints may page rows for UX. That is not a contractual product meter.
