Attachments
Attachments are optional. Published config allowAttachments gates the composer. BYO uploads never hit Bootstrapware. Hosted uploads count against a workspace file cap.
Allowlist
- Types: jpeg, png, webp, gif, PDF
- 10 MB each
- Max 4 per message
- Local adapter: 4 MB each (browser demo constraint)
We do not virus-scan files. You moderate Hosted content. Treat uploads like user-generated files you are responsible for.
Hosted cap
Hosted includes 1 GB per workspace. Optional Chat storage add-on is $9.99 / month for 10 GB. It is not a fourth product and is not stack-discounted. Uploads freeze at the cap; text still works. Deleting files frees quota. After 10 GB, move files to BYO.

BYO
Implement uploadAttachment against your own object store. Return a ChatAttachment with a URL your users can load. Bootstrapware never receives the bytes.
