Moderate Hosted feedback

On Hosted ($19.99), posts and votes live on Bootstrapware. The embed collects plain text; you own moderation decisions in the dashboard inbox.

That is the trade: less BYO plumbing, more responsibility for content policy on stored prose.

What you can do in the inbox

  • Change status among open, planned, in_progress, shipped, declined (not completed).
  • Archive posts and use merge targets where the dashboard supports them.
  • Export Hosted posts as JSON from the dashboard when you need an offline copy.

Status changes can emit feedback.status_changed (ids + from/to only). New Hosted posts can emit feedback.post_created.

Content policy

Posts are plain text (title max 200, body max 5000). There is no rich HTML sanitization product surface, treat Hosted content like user-generated text you are responsible for reviewing. MCP never carries title/body; do not invent tools that do.

Cancel Hosted

  1. Writes freeze immediately when Hosted entitlement ends.
  2. Dashboard JSON export remains available for 30 days.
  3. After that window, Hosted posts and votes are deleted.

The same cancel timeline is stated on product privacy, billing, and Terms. Export before the window closes if you need continuity.

When BYO is a better fit

If you cannot store customer prose on Bootstrapware, or you need RLS and custom retention, use BYO ($9.99) with your own Postgres. See BYO vs Hosted.

Pitfalls

  • Assuming cancel keeps Hosted data indefinitely, it does not.
  • Waiting until day 31 to export after cancel.
  • Expecting MCP to moderate posts, inbox and billing surfaces are dashboard-only.
